JBL 265H-1 Driver  

Designed and built in the JBL factory in Mexico...ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES.The JBL 265H-1 (MPN 363837-003X) is a 15 inch low frequency driver. The 265H-1 can be found in the JBL MRX Series and the JBL AM 5215. It is also suitable for use in all other systems with 15" LF drivers rated at 400 watts into 8 ohms. Extremely liteweight all cast assembly weighs only 4.5 pounds. Trade in your backache for modern technology and a nice tight quick responding LF driver speaker as only JBL can create. This product is primarily found in sound reinforcement and PA speaker systems. It should not be confused with a speaker built and intended for a bass guitar system. However, we have received some input from a bass player (Al K.) who has been using this speaker in a couple of cabinets for several years so, with a cabinet OD of 24x25x15 inches and 4 ports, 3 inches in diameter and 6 inches long, he hits them with 250 watts each and has not had a problem. As with any speaker dedicated to direct musical instrument reproduction, the distortion is the major issue and must be kept to a minimum to prevent the cone from moving in a non-linear direction.
